Duty to Accommodate: Breastfeeding in the Workplace

The human rights code requires employers maintain a workplace that is free from indexharassment and discrimination. We live in a time where many new trends and ideas are surfacing in our society that have become the norm and could result in situations where an employer is required, with reasonable effort to accommodate. One of these new trends that has become common place is “Public Breastfeeding. While a very polarizing topic, this has moved from the generality of Public Breastfeeding to Breastfeeding in the Workplace and if an employer has a duty to accommodate in such a situation.
