Social Media is a prevalent tool today for expressing ones pleasures and more notably displeasures with a particular person, place, event, etc. People today are often fearless when behind a computer screen and a keyboard to express their disgruntled grievances online for the world to see. Usually when this happens, hurtful and harmful comments can also be made and most don’t understand the legal ramifications on making such remarks. All organizations today should take proactive measures in educating their staff by having proper training, social media policy, and a code of conduct in place to address when comments such as these are made.
